Microseismic catalogue with local magnitude of the 2000 episode at Soultz-sous-Forêts calculated by B. Dyer (Semore Seismic) using the surface network. Number of events: 51. Microseismic monitoring of the hydraulic programme at Soultz took place between June 30th and July 18th. The catalogue contains the 51 largest events detected on the surface network during the 2000 episode. Each event identity and location in the catalogue was assigned by correlating the times of the events on the surface network with the times of the microseismic events from the catalogue of the downhole network of B. Dyer (available https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS2000-catalogue_downhole). Some discrepancies of few minutes for a same event between the two catalogues are possible because of the gap in time between the twok clocks on the two data acquisition systems. Some locations are missing because of insufficient picks, due to noise, or insufficient data, due to one or more sensors being inoperative. Time period: 30/06/2000 23:09 - 25/07/2000 09:06 (UTC time). The data parameters are the following: Column 1: Event number Column 2: Date (UTC) Column 3: Time (UTC) Column 4: Easting from GPK1 wellhead * Column 5: Northing from GPK1 wellhead * Column 6: Depth from GPK1 wellhead * Column 7: Latitude WGS84 ** Column 8: Longitude WGS84 ** Column 9: Elevation WGS84 ** Column 10: Local magnitude * The local coordinate system is based on the UTM32 system. ** Latitude, longitude and elevation have been derived from the local coordinate system. The description of the surface network is available (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS2000-surface_network). The velocity model used is available (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS2000-velocity_model_downhole). Last update of data: 20/01/2022

First catalogue calculated by N. Cuenot as part of his Ph. D. The downhole network and the surface network were both used to locate events of the 2000 episode at Soultz-sous-Forêts. Number of events: 7215. The catalogue contains the preliminary locations of events performed by N. Cuenot with a modified version of the HYPOINVERSE program (Klein, 1978). N. Cuenot calculated a second catalogue with more precise locations using tomographic inversion. The catalogue covers only the stimulation test and not the post-injection test of the 2000 episode. Only the events recorded by at least 8 stations (5 from the surface network and the 3 downhole accelerometers) and with an RMS ≤ 0.02 s were kept in the catalogue. The final mean mathematical location error is about 80 m horizontally and 100 m vertically. Time period: 30/06/2000 19:15:18 - 11/07/2000 05:58:03 (UTC). The data parameters are the following: Column 1: Event number Column 2: Date (UTC) Column 3: Time (UTC) Column 4: Latitude WGS84 Column 5: Longitude WGS84 Column 6: Elevation (m) Column 7: Magnitude determined from the seismic signal duration Column 8: RMS Remark: the signals from the RéNaSS stations and the Güralp sensor of the surface network, and from the two hydrophones of the downhole network were not used to locate the events of the catalogue. The description of the surface network is available (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS2000-surface_network). The description of the downhole network is available (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS2000-downhole_network). Last update of data: 27/02/2018

Seismological signals acquired at Soultz-sous-Forêts during the 1993 stimulation. The downhole seismological network consisted of 3 accelerometers (4 components sensors) built by the CSMA (station: 4550,4601 and 4616) and one hydrophone (Station: EPS1) The records are done on a temporal window of 2s with a sample frequency of 5064Hz and a flat response up to 1000Hz. The anti-aliasing low-pass filter of Bessel (1500Hz) has been applied. The validation of data is done thanks to the 4-C sensors. The associated catalogue is available (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS1993-catalogue). The description of the downhole network is available (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSFS1993-network).
