Seismological signals acquired at Vendenheim during the development phase of the GEOVEN geothermal project. Waveforms from the permanent stations described in VDHD-Surface_network (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/VDHD-Surface_network) are provided for each event from VDHD-Catalogue (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/VDHD-Catalogue), (-30s, +90s). Before the 2003 episode, a permanent network designed to monitor the microseismic activity at Soultz-sous-Forêts was installed by EOST (Ecole et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre) from the Strasbourg University. It consisted of nine stations, six one-component and three three-component sensors. The network was operational just before the 2003 stimulation of GPK3 (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSF-GPK3). A temporary network of fourteen seismometers (six three-component and eight one-component) was added to this permanent network. Contrary to the 2000 episode, all the fourteen stations of the temporary network were continuously recording. In addition to the network under the responsibility of EOST, a broad-band Güralp sensor was used mostly for waveform analysis. Two other accelerometers completed the surface monitoring system too. The coordinates of the stations have been obtained from RESIF (https://www.resif.fr/">https://www.resif.fr). Last update of data: 03/02/2020

GRT-2 is the second well drilled within the framework of the geothermal project ECOGI at Rittershoffen. The drilling of the well started in March 2014 and ended in July 2014. GRT-2 is a deviated well of 3196 m in length that reaches 2708 m TVD GL (true vertical depth from ground level) within the fractured granite basement. No reservoir enhancement was necessary at GRT-2. Production and circulation tests were realized from July to October 2014. The GRT-2 well is currently used as production well. It produces hot water at a temperature of 170 °C and with production flow rate of 70 L/s. Location of the GRT-2 wellhead (in WGS84): Latitude: 48.8970814354199° Longitude: 7.93865503246575°

VDH-GT1 is the first well drilled within the framework of the Geoven geothermal project at Vendenheim. The drilling of the well began in June 2017 and reached a final length of 5408 m in March 2018. A second leg at VDH-GT1 was drilled between February and September 2019 and a third between June and August 2020 to 5447 m (4644m TVD). VDH-GT1 will be used as production well. Location of the VDH-GT1 wellhead (in WGS84): Latitude: 48.8970080 Longitude: 7.9387218 Altitude: 134m At the present time, the Geoven project (https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/VDHD) is still in development and this description may change.

Focal mechanisms of seismic events, which occurred during the thermal and hydraulic stimulations, the 2013 July burst and the GRT-2 drilling. Two earthquakes per seismogenic period were considered. More information about the determination of the focal mechanisms and the selection of events is available in the article from Maurer, V. et al., 2020, Seismicity induced during the development of the Rittershoffen geothermal field, France. The data parameters are the following: Column 1: Period Column 2: Date Column 3: Time (UTC) Column 4: Easting (m) Column 5: Northing (m) Column 6: Depth (m TVD MSL) Column 7: Latitude (°) * Column 8: Longitude (°) * Column 9: Mlv Column 10: NPOL Column 11: Dip (°) Column 12: Strike (°) Column 13: Rake (°) * The latitude and longitude in the WGS84 coordinate system have been derived from the extended Lambert II Cartesian system.
