Microseismic downhole network - Soultz-sous-Forêts 1996 Stimulation and Hydraulic Tests

In 1996, three new accelerometers (4-component sensors) built by the CSMA and one hydrophone were deployed. As in past years, the 4-component sondes were located in boreholes 4616 ( https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSF-4616 ), 4601 ( https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSF-460 1) and 4550 ( https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSF-4550 ) within the granite and the hydrophone was deployed in EPS1 ( https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSF-EPS 1). Unlike the previous episodes, the accelerometers were not grouted in the boreholes.

The X,Y,Z coordinates in the file refer to the local coordinate system with the GPK1 ( https://cdgp.u-strasbg.fr/geonetwork/srv/fre/catalog.search#/metadata/SSF-GPK 1) wellhead as origin:

X: Easting in meters from GPK1 wellhead (toward UTM32 East)

Y: Northing in meters from GPK1 wellhead (toward UTM32 North)

Z: Depth in meters from GPK1 wellhead

The local coordinate system is based on the UTM32 system.

The coordinates of the stations in the local coordinate system have been obtained from the CSMA report for Socomine by Jones and Jupe, 1997 (Microseismic results from the Soultz 1996 experimental programme).

The latitude, longitude and elevation in the WGS84 coordinate system have been derived from the local coordinate system.
