Description
- Distance between a station and the epicentre of an earthquake. It is usually given in kilometers for local earthquakes and in degrees for teleseismic events.
- Distance from a site (usually a recording seismograph station) to the epicenter of an earthquake. It is commonly given in kilometers for local earthquakes (see earthquake, local), and in degrees (1 degree is about 111 km) for teleseismic events.
