Description
- Largest ground acceleration in absolute value recorded or expected at a given location. Usually abbreviated as PGA. Orientation- and direction-dependent parameter.
- Maximum ground acceleration recorded during an earthquake at a location. It is expressed in cm/s2 or as a percentage of the gravity (g = 9.81 m.s-2)
- The maximum acceleration amplitude measured (or expected) in a strong-motion accelerogram of an earthquake, abbreviated PGA.
